Issy-les-Moulineaux APOLLON e-Participation pilot entering its active phase
The pilot of Issy-les-Moulineaux within APOLLON's e-Participation strand is entering an active phase starting this week.
On Saturday 19 March as launched an interactive multimedia trail on the history of the Fort of Issy, based on a scenario developed in collaboration with our project partners:
- The trail begins at the Museum of Issy, where a cross media device presents the history of the Fort from its construction up to the present day, with a focus on the Franco-Prussian war of 1870 and the Commune in 1871. This represents the starting point of a discovery trail that will take the visitor across several historical sites throughout the city. On the information boards in front of each historical site, a QR code will allow via a smartphone to instantly access more information about the events that occurred in that particular place during the 1870-71 war.
- iPhone owners are able to take the experience one step further, as they are invited via MobExplore (a free application available on AppStore) to solve various riddles and puzzles and report constantly on their journey by taking pictures or videos or geolocalizing themselves. The content produced during the game is uploaded in real time on the 3D map of the city, creating thus a shared cartography of the City History. After the game, the content is available for consultation on a big screen displayed at the Cube (the centre for digital creation in Issy), as well as online (http://urbadeus.orbe.mobi).
- During the event, young Community Reporters from Issy will interview citizens that are participating to the trail, getting comments and feedback on what they do and what they see around them as they progress in the game. The content produced is shared with the entire community of Issy, via a new blog dedicated to the web-reporters of Issy-les-Moulineaux.
You can discover the reports via the website www.issy.com/web-reporter (in French).
On Friday 24 June an European workshop on the theme of "e-culture 2.0" will be organized in the Multimedia Room of the City Hall of Issy-les-Moulineaux.
